Maximize quality from source.
It mean minimal loss after rip and convert.
But it not mean the quality will be greater than source.

If you work with audio you will know It have a quality loss everytime when you re-encode.
So that's why i choose Maximum VBR because it's the best of the MP3.

If the source is 128kbps and you re-encode again with 128kbps.
You will get the ugly result for your ear, especially in the high frequencies.

I think you're being a tad too fussy

I understand why you would need unmixed songs in high quality but not mixes, you're unlikely to play them over a large soundsystem
