This week's podcast falls to industry legend and head honcho of the esteemed International DeeJay Gigolo Records, DJ Hell.
Across his thirty year career the Berlin based Helmut Geier has built up a resume that includes production, performing, fashion design, running the infamous International DeeJay Gigolo Records label (a key imprint within the early 00s electroclash era), and of course DJing. In 2014 he shows no signs of slowing down, currently juggling a constant touring schedule with working on a new album - his first since 2009's 'Teufelswerk'.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]DOWNLOAD : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Pulse: Can you fill us in on your podcast for Pulse? DJ Hell: It came to life at Watergate - one of the most famous and legendary clubs in Berlin. The set is what presents DJ Hell at the moment but was also specially made for this night I played there.
What have you been up to lately? Have you been working on any new music? I am touring a lot and have started working on my new album.
What's coming up on International Deejay Gigolo Records this year? Any new artists or releases you're particularly excited about? Peter Kruder just released one of his best works on Gigolo last week and we're preparing the new Gigolo CD number 14 wich features new material from mostly new artists like Christopher Kah.
It's been about a decade since electroclash emerged on the scene. Do you think it is due for a comeback? It was perfect for that time ten years ago but I don't feel a strong comeback. But if you look closely it's still everywhere with a new sound and a new version, but doesn't need the same hype and attention. Lots of song oriented electronic music is all around and in the clubs right now - I felt a strong comeback of this about two years ago where new kids and new DJs started playing this kind of Gigolo music in their sets. Everything goes in circles so who knows, maybe it's time for a new wave of electroclash.
