Originally starting out as a drummer, Victor Watel switched the drum kit for Ableton Live and a rack of synths for his Panteros666 project. Taking a certain inspiration from Pantera’s power and simplicity, Panteros666 fuses 90s Belgian techno with rhythmically-dense layers and a certain industrial atmosphere to create his own take on motorway music. As part of the Club Cheval crew alongside Canblaster, MYD, and Sam Tiba, Panteros666 has already made a name for himself, pioneering Club Cheval’s mixture of UK bass, UR electronics and electro into their unique mind-melting style. But with his own solo releases and tracks, like X Lova and 2013’s mini LP Hyper Reality, Panteros666 has proven he can put his own twist on neon warehouse bulldozers and futuristic clubland anthems.
