DEETRON

With a discography that stretches back to the late nineties, it's safe to say that Deetron has been in the game a fair while. Yet in the last few years, he's hit a rich run of form that has seen him reach the peak of the house and techno underground.

In the summer of 2011 he dropped 'Starblazer', a thumping, feel-good house cut flecked with pianos and propelled by a gargantuan bassline. Then later in the year he mixed the 20th CD in the Balance series, an assured effort that marked him out as a selector that could rile a dance with ease. Ever since it seems Deetron has been unstoppable.

Put simply, he's one of those DJs that you know is going to come good every time. Which is probably why Eastern Electrics has snapped him up to play its biggest festival yet. He's playing the Outdoor Transformer Stage on the Friday of the event, a guaranteed good time indeed. Get a taste with this exclusive mix, recorded live at Astropolis festival.
