Junk Department are back in the capital this New Year’s Day with a fully loaded feast of an underground party bringing the über-cool Berlin based label Upon You who touch down for a label showcase with some of the labels finest artists alongside our Junk Department residents and two special guests.

The line-up is headed up by the German powerhouse Steve Bug the taste-maker, trend-setter and mover-shaker extraordinaire in the tech house / techno scene for over a decade. The owner of Poker Flat recordings has become an electronic music ambassador and rightly takes his place at the top of the bill.

However, he’s only a couple of inches above our next act the mighty M.A.N.D.Y. made famous for their collaboration with Booka Shade on the ubiquitous “Body Language” and as part owners of Get Physical with DJ T. The pair are regulars at top clubs around the world from Chicago to Ibiza as well as being residents at the famous Watergate club in Berlin.

The filling of the party comes from Upon You label boss Marco Resmann Watergate resident, one half of the super Luna City Express duo and the man who kick started the career of techno’s household name Pan-Pot. He’s supported by fellow German label regulars Emerson Todd and Gunnar Stiller while the foot of the party sandwich is formed by Junk Department’s secret weapon Luca Pilato.
