Erick E
DJ/producer ErickE has spent the last decennium at the pinnacle of Dutch house music. Receiving the Best House DJ award 2006 in the Netherlands proves: ErickE rocks the house! Apart from his energetic and danceable mix of grooves, the main reasons for his popularity are his enthusiasm and charisma behind the decks. ErickE truly interacts with his audience.
Erick’s career started in 86 and in 95 he landed the Saturday-residency in Amsterdam’s house temple: the legendary RoXY. ErickE doesn’t exactly limit himself to Holland though, and has spun across the globe - though his presentation at Sensation will be a first timer in Brazil.
.Begin 2006 ErickE "Boogie Down" reached the Dutch top 40 for 5 weeks. His single "The beat is Rockin'" was released in several countries in Europe and reached the top 10 in the Netherlands and entered the UK top 40! Mark Knight has forged himself a reputation as one of the foremost house producers on the planet. A string of consistently hot productions and skilfully written remixes (from Kylie through to Underworld) have secured ongoing success at the top of the dance charts - highlights of this year include Mark's remake of Laurent Garnier's epic “Man With The Red Face” (officially Beatport's fastest ever selling record, and #1 on their chart for 3 consecutive weeks!!). Last year's hits include his “Colombian Soul” collaboration with D.Ramirez (one of the biggest records to come out of 2007) and a destructive mix of Axwell, Angello, Ingrosso and Laidback Luke's “Get Dumb”.
Having stormed the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll as one of the highest new entries in 2007 - Mark climbed a further 9 places in 2008 and is now ranked number 42 in the world, won best record of the summer at last year's “DJ Awards”, was nominated as “best DJ” at the 2008 “Best of British Awards” and for the second year running won “Best DJ” at the KISS 100 Awards.

Fedde le Grand stands on the edge of global superstardom. His parties had been rocking the Netherlands since 2001; and then in 2006 "Put your hands up for Detroit" happened. The track hit No 1 in the UK, Spain, Russia, Finland and Bulgaria; won Best Underground House Track and Best Breaks/Electro Track at the IMDA 2007, Club Banger Of The Year at the 6th Annual Club Awards in Miami 2008 and secured Fedde the fiercely fought over Best Breakthrough Solo Artist gong at the IMDA 2007.
"Let Me Think About It", "The Creeps" and "3 Minutes to Explain" all followed, setting club-land on fire and stamping Fedde's name all over the global music charts. There was nobody anywhere that fell short of Fedde’s magic – including Grammy Award-winning Black Eyed Peas front man Will.i.am and Madonna.
Fedde rounded his year off with two mammoth tours of the North American and Australian continents, taking in a grand total of 24 cities, all falling under the Dutchman’s spell. His first studio album called “Output”, setting the pace for what is already shaping up to be a fast track 2009.
Since the early days his more stripped-down production has won him an elite group of fans, allowing him to experiment with his darker, more minimal tech-house side. Tracks like "Take No Shh", "Aah Yeah" and "Just Trippin”" have already done the business and 2009 kicks off with three more releases – "F1", "Amplified" and "Pink Bird" – that are destined to wow the filthier dance floors.
Erick E and Fedde are Sensation residents, both having a vast number of Sensation's under their belt. Brazil will be Fedde's 10th Sensation and Erick's 7th Sensation. We choose to work with both these guys so often as they are both absolute experts at bringing the perfect musical interpretation of what Sensation is about and are both amazingly talented artists.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Ferry Corsten
The Dutch superstar has consistently been voted one of the top 10 DJs in the world (according to DJ magazine’s definitive Top 100 DJ chart) for five years. He’s played for hundreds of thousands of fans in amphitheatres, fields and nightclubs from Australia to Russia to white-hot Ibiza.
But within the close-knit international DJ community, Corsten is regarded as something else too: A studio auteur with a fierce sense of sonic rightness; a real-deal producer who works solo, sans engineer, and creates the most complete, energetic, melodic records in dance music. His style is so singular that synthesizer manufacturer Roland commissioned a Corsten sound bank for their new SP-555 sampling unit. But it’s so broad that it could meld with Public Enemy’s classic cut “Bring The Noise,” on a Corsten remix that Chuck D himself called “the ultimate concoction of pace, energy and lyrics.”
The world first experienced Corsten’s dance floor wallop in 1999, when the young and hungry artist created aptly named track “Out Of The Blue” (recorded under his System F moniker). It was the first of his eight Dutch gold records, and 10 U.K. Top 40 hits, the most ever by a trance producer. He released his debut album, “Right Of Way,” in 2003; and the groundbreaking “L.E.F.” – containing Duran Duran collaboration “Fire” – in 2006, which debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes dance chart.

Mason burst onto the dance scene with their groundbreaking tune ‘Exceeder’ back in 2006. The record swiftly went from destroying dance floors to tearing it up the World’s charts. This record, along with most of what Mason produced since falls into the same category. As a result Mason’s tunes are played by a huge array of decksman from Pete Tong and Zane Lowe (BBC Radio 1) to Fat Boy Slim, Eric Prydz and Carl Cox.
Using Iason’s classical violin training coupled with a love of diverse music and a hi-tech apprenticeship in a ring tone sweatshop, together with his studio and live partner Coen. The Mason sound takes a great understanding of melody and fuses it with technological know-how sheer musicianship and dance floor savvy. A debut artist album is taking shape at the moment and features some interesting styles and flavours as well as guests such as NYC rapping legends (Run) DMC and Kurtis Blow, Grammy nominated and UK No. 1 album artist Sam Sparro, renowned singer songwriter Matt Hales (aka Aqualung), Massive Attack collaborator Debbie Clare and the frontman from cult Belgian act dEUS, Tom Barman.
Humour is a long forgotten part of music and something Mason is keen to re-introduce as a key ingredient. Anyone listening to his “de-mix” of Exceeder being replayed by a brass band will know the boys aren’t taking things too seriously. Forthcoming album track titles such as ‘Who Killed Trance’ and ‘Bigboy Exercises’ are also refreshingly tongue-in-cheek and every track on his Animal Language label will carry a ‘re-furb’ ; a re-interpretation in a totally different musical style, be it speed metal, Mariachi or Balkan!
Behind the decks, or CDJ’s at least, Iason, the dj-ing face of ‘Mason’, has honed his craft for over fourteen years since falling for the grooves of early hip hop and spinning in his local clubs. He has headlined at some of the World’s finest clubs and festivals including headlining the massively opulent ‘Sensation White’ parties around the world. Speaking of mixes, there’s ‘The Amsterdam Tapes’, Mason’s very own mix album series released in Autumn 2008 to much critical acclaim. The first album was Mixmag’s compilation of the Month. The Dutch maestro also just broadcast a very well received Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1.
