What do i need for House/Remix track production?

I've been DJ'ing for about a year and ive been doing gigs, mostly house parties and school dances (i'm 14 yrs old). I've been working with my laptop & M-Audio Xponent w/ Torq connected to a simple Pyle mixer that i connect to my two speakers. I've made about 1400 bucks but right now i have about 450 cause i had to pay my parents back for the laptop. I Feel like i need to invest in something that will make me more money on the side besides gigs so i wanna start getting into making albums and mixes and mixtapes. Since i cant really scratch on an Xponent (i'm saving up for Numark NS7) i wanna start making House/Trance tracks and other beats and instrumentals. I've made one mix, more of a mashup, on Mac's Garage Band software but that was pretty time consuming and hard to work with.
