David Tort ft Gosha ʻOne Lookʼ is available exclusively through Beatport 7th March & 21st March on iTunes & all other stores.
Released by: Axtone Release/catalogue number: AXT018 Release date: Mar 7, 2011
Quote :
Having burst into 2011 with Hard Rock Sofa & St. Brothers ʻBlow Upʼ (the 5th Beatport Top 10 in a row) Axtone welcomes to the label one of Spainʼs finest DJ/Producers, David Tort with ʻOne Lookʼ alongside emerging Russian Vocalist Gosha.
The last 12 months have seen Davidʼs star rising to new heights with his interpretation of the classic “Chase The Sun” alongside Norman Doray, followed swiftly by the gargantuan ʻAreenaʼ with Germanyʼs Thomas Gold released through Dirty Southʼs fledging label Phazing. 2011 is shaping up nicely for David with ʻOne Lookʼ set to be followed with a release on Steve Angelloʼs Size Records.
As you would expect from an Axtone single the release comes with an enviable package. On remix duty here Axtone label head Axwell, fresh from his Grammy nomination for his remix collaboration with Dirty South on Temper Traps ʻSweet Dispositionʼ this time turns to Belgian brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike for yet another trademark genre transcending reworking. Completing the package is Franceʼs Norman Doray who adds a sprinkling of va va voom and a large slice of his signature sound to round things off nicely.
Originally appearing on label anthology ʻAxtone Volume 1ʼ - One Look (formerly known as 'Something 'Bout You') is set to make a huge dent at Miami Music Week this March and enter the hallowed Axtone hall of fame as another benchmark in House music history.

DELERIUM FEAT. SARAH MCLACHLAN - 'SILENCE' (David Esse & Antoine Clamaran Remix) Spring 2011, POOL E MUSIC is proud to announce a brand new progressive house remix of "SILENCE" by David ESSE & Antoine CLAMARAN !! Be sure this new version will reach again top charts everywhere !!

Big support from Boys Noize, Fake Blood, Tiga, Proxy and Annie Mac.
This is speaker-shredding kid-music that keeps your aging dignity intact. Somehow Clouds manage an air of restraint and class even as they demolish you with idiot-friendly bass grindings.
We can guarantee that all three of these tracks have been tried & tested on the mega-stages of Planet Turbo to devastating effect.
This Scottish duo are Turbo's youngest ever signing, and we can expect big things from them now that they've graduated high school and quit working at McDonald's to live the dream and pursue music full-time. Serdar Ors - I Miss You Michael Jackson description Yet, while no one would have the gall to claim that the simply-titled Michael scales the dizzy heights of Off The Wall or Thriller, it nonetheless presents itself as a unified piece of work and testament to the man’s continued energy and inspiration. There is a danger, however, of its musical merits being overlooked because of the various unanswered questions that surround its completion.
The first track opens with Serdar Ors, ‘I Miss You Michael Jackson’ and composed in the typical sentimental format, almost sounds like the culmination of a fiercely independent and inspiring career. Skittering percussion and gut-wrenching bass separately refer back to progressive stages of his development, conveniently assembled together in one walloping package. The sounds and textures are familiar to Serdar devotees but dialed up to an almost obscene level: the live-sounding drum samples could level walls, and the curiously static-wracked bass is a noxious cloud of gritty particulate.
Also the remixer Boral Kibil solidifies his versatility to adjust to different styles while making it a dance floor destroyer, adding necessary vocal sample and taking it dangerously close to the generic fare that the original looks down upon. It's a rousing, inspiring tune that beautifully blends classicism and futurism.

Fyono - Orient
description The tunes are structured excellently and flow professionally. Sections build, then drop down into some other idea before becoming overbearing, with less volume but no loss in momentum. On "Orient" Fyono returns to the gritty industrial soundscape that was showcased on last year's venture for 3024.
A slowly building intro gives way to a flurry of clanging percussion, coupled with a string sample that will have the track sitting comfortably if dropped at the right time. Liquid Sound remix however, that's the highlight growling vibes on display, while not being much more than a short and straightforward loop, mixes superbly with the intermittent sounds and digital keys.

1. Bust 'Em Up (with Savage Skulls) 2. Get The F**k Out My House 3. Springer (With Wax Motif & Neoteric) Released by: Southern Fried Records Release/catalogue number: ECB274 Release date: Apr 11, 2011
In an era where consistent sonic trademarking often gets confused for a creative stall—where the demand for "ingenuity" often outstrips that for sheer persistence and quality—few imprints have been as diligent and attentive in defining their crystalline brand of house music.
That said, original mix, "Mediterranean," is ornamented with an unexpected yet subtle acidic bass line—the kind of welcomed attention to detail you also find on "Blue Rose," with its soft yet stabbing bassline and arpeggiated synths. This is where Franzis-D decade-long studio experience is showcased to staggering effect.
The remix of Mad Morello as a passionate melomane superfluous and tautological, but as an overall musical statement, it is superlative and visionary in the most affirmative of ways.
On the other hand the Coldberg & Repton remix made with the quality listener in mind, making this a well rounded the EP for all fans of good progressive music. The EP straight into the Progressive House style we all love – Dark, fast and filled with chunky, driving percussions, a very playable and definitely a killer tracks for all DJ sets is an ethereal trip into the realms and ambient progressive house. Featuring twisted synthwork, a groovy bassline, strong pads & techy percussions – This tracks shows the other side of this rising producers’ personality – light, groovy and full of quality.

Alexander Anufriev - Word is Silver, Silence is Gold EP
Alexander Anufriev delighting the audience with music and of course handing her his mood, many years of his career, managed to play at various parties of his native city, which has gained broad experience and brought it to fruition. The whole thing has an intensely circular progression, the swollen-bottom end contrasting with the resonant gunmetal of the slicing drum samples.
If "Absorption" almost manages to escape the enwombing inertia that so characterizes Alexander, "Word is silver, silence is gold" practically flails around whatever room is brave enough to play it, the rippling drums and voices can barely stay afloat on the turbulent layer.
It's all pale tones and dead thuds until a distracting and gleefully stretched synth knocks the track off its axis.

------------------------------------------------
Azur Odobasic - Pay Attention
At least some of that nostalgic weight comes from the claustrophobically matter-of-fact vocal that winds its weary way along the path laid out by the deeply insistent drum track.
Azur Odobasic gallops on a steady, slightly syncopated beat, making use of exaggerated sound effects that dip, tug and snap back, each bar tipping over into an extended drum fill whose gleeful novelty never quite wears off.
On the other part Fyono's remix is all about the synth chords, which pulse softly in slow-mo strobelight fashion, splaying themselves in a chrome-plated mess across the track. It's that particular bassline that remains one of the most memorable parts of the track. That, and a murmuring vocal sample that constantly lurks beneath the surface, betray an outside influence.
Label: Insomniafm Records Cat: IFMR005 Release: May 15th 2011 Style: Progressive, Tech House
Fanyo is not concerned with blowing your mind. He's more concerned with doing what he does best, doing what he only knows how, DJ and producer that has had his head professionally buried in house music for the best part of a decade.
One of the standout mellow tunes is the opening "White to fusion" whose bouncing, is a strong mood-setter. The neat segue into "Trouble in my head" underscores the album's strong sense of cohesiveness—it's less about the personalities of single tracks than the feeling of a eight-track sculpted whole.
Sometimes the grooves endlessly re-start and churn up and down, sometimes they sulk in a more emotionally vulnerable corner and sometimes they roll out, edgelessly, into the deep recesses of space, but they always hit the mark and avoid loopy ennui.

This release takes us into the world of ethnic Progressive House, tinged with the warm and captivating sounds from Insomniafm Radio. On those festive rhythmics, this tracks is gradually taking off to reveal all its richness with the arrival of flutes that is lost in a chain of delay.
From this title, a positive energy emerges through a round bass and a break, revealing the magical joy. As a final burst of summer in the early autumn, Roland Vee does not fail to bewitch a dancefloor. The Original version, for its part, sees the emergence of gimiks with more typed sounds which will captivate some people and offers a much more House version of this track, Roland goes for more of a dance floor-focused vibe on his version, spacing things out with deep, reverberated synth tones and a strong shuffling groove before deploying a stridently rolling .
Sweepers offers us a remix in a more hypnotic approach. Keeping the ethnic beat, he succeeds to transport us to a more mechanical universe thanks to a more Progressive approach of this track. The use of vibes is minimalist but fits perfectly with the atmosphere, further accentuated by some different basses to create a more constructed evolution of the title, building things up with a series of delicately whooshing chords before reintroducing the rugged melodic bassline from earlier in the track.

Fabio T. - Is out of Control
Italian producer Fabio T. strips things back to the very barest of essentials to provide an single that to your ears at least is the very essence of the deeper pastures of the 4/4 beat.
His approach to Is Out Of Control is methodical, taking away all the non-essential elements and leaving a skeletal branch; raw, exposed and entirely lovely. With its muted chords and thunderously deep bass, it's an emotionally charged piece, adding its own bleak ambiance. Given the overriding gray palette on display, what's most surprising here is that it doesn't feel sad.
The remix track on offer, treads a very different path. A ghostly appreciated synthetic forms the translucent backbone of a pulsing techno number that bubbles and bounces its way through its nine-plus minutes.
If nothing else, it shows that Franzis-D can more than hold his own in creating dance floor-ready cuts. But even despite its subtle atmospherics, it can't help but feel a little gaudy to the untempered loveliness of Is Out Of Control.

Dzim - Black Factory
Dzim brings a space wasteland of progressive and drowned house over a lazy beat that chimes dusted chords set astride an almost-blackness. The pads get more melodic, more preclusive of escape as they come to life in the more polished Black Factory. It's therein that Dzim pulls long granulated drone across the void while a minimal beat diffuses collapse. The original tells us that parts of Black Factory will work in headphones, and that parts will work on a fog-filled dance floor.
With two remixes that all do this, it sometimes threatens to make them superfluous, and the idea is approached in a particularly obvious manner with the Black Factory remix. Nevertheless, he swings it enough to provide versions for, perhaps, later zones of the night (the original would be a nice warmer), and the groundwork's laid sweetly enough for this kind of treatment anyway.
On the Fabio T. remix bent on rabble-rousing, tossing in twisted bits of synth and playing the FX box fast and loose. The tune circuits with attention-deficit speed through bursts of drainpipe delay, cavern echo and filter twists, which gives things a nice live-work out feel. Certainly useful if the crowd looks like it could use some waking up.
Fyono's remix it sounds far off from the nerve-wracked hesitance of his recent productions, where drums hit so lightly and frequently it was like they were trying to keep from touching the ground. Here, his drum programming tic is straightened out into something almost straightforward, still oddly swung but predictable: it fits well within the original's ethos of banging and backward-looking house.
If Hypnotised like to tell us something about themselves, it’s probably that they’re interesting but deep fellows. And that’s exactly what they’ve delivered with a twisting, melodic house and insightful EP, skip and groove in a similar manner to one another, ironing out the wild bounciness of the original. Archie JD stutters the vocal, introduces a few neat fills and generally displays tight production.
Abstract and piercing, the title track mixes strained vocal chops around hollow atmospherics and warming, humanized chimes, it’s a lo-fi affair until the drop itself casually skips into warming and thought provoking house music of a grade quality, gradually progressing and building to hypnotic effect. It's Time takes synths that sound like they’re bleeding all over you as they fade in and out behind a bubbly beat and skipping percussion, in a minor tone sound perfectly complimented by the vocals, while Fyono remix, the most left field of the trio, is left until last bending and crossing tech percussion and melodic, house rhythms into an expert concoction that offers plenty of funky feel and driving, existential clarity.
Tolga Diler & Semih Karakas set-up includes drums, glockenspiel, rain stick, trombones and harp. Pretty much anything outside of synthesised sounds, in other words. Although their playing is either treated or cleverly cut-up, sampled and fed back to itself, the emphasis is on real instrumentation. Delicacy is the key here, and the sounds are allowed to breath independently thanks to a capacious backdrop sporadically illuminated by a mixture of spaced-out ambience and dubwise techniques. The kick drum begins as a flat, glassy smack with all the low-end shaved off, leaving a bumbling, sawtooth bassline to carry all the weight; the effect is remarkable, especially compared to the bass overload so endemic to tech house these days.
Here, the midrange breathing room accentuates all manner of nuance and almost accidental-seeming sound, like muted cowbellsand dripping faucets. Eventually, as the track bulks up, it turns into a powerful little number, with nervous, technoid bass riffs trading off with percussive fills, and a high-up string ostinato pulling taut the tension throughout.
But as heavy as it gets, its impact is less a matter of force than suggestion, with reverberant tympani rolling out like spotlit whitecaps, empty space's ebb checking the low end's flow.
The remix goes a little bit further and crafts the cut with the most urgency; a typically sub-aquatic arrangement that relies on a raw, subdued bell throughout, along with sparse percussion and the sounds of a short-wave radio being tuned.
Oscitone & Andy Newland's transitions from driving beats to blissful synths are mesmerising. From the dark and moody start, the mix progresses through several emotions, ending on higher tempo club material, only to drop back down into oddball territory; vocal samples of a man playing on an old game console while toms and snares fall all around him. Strange enough to be interesting, but still able to keep you dancing all night. It's what has made this two artists an important names for house scene heads over the past few years. If everything were perfectly quantized, this would be a different track entirely, an exercise in clever sound design. But the unraveling grooves give Judgement an edge-of-your-seat quality, hellbent and vivacious, that's all too rare these days.

Mumbai Science is mostly known for their club hits ‘Ancova’ and ‘Gold’, which are still widely supported by artists around the globe (from 2 many dj’s, Crookers and Erol Alkan to Boys Noize, Tiga and beyond). Recently, Mumbai Science finished remixes for Mixhell (Boys Noize Records) and Goose(!K7 Records). Now, they present their fourth EP on Lektroluv Records: Lotus EP.
After ‘My Sitar’, ‘Fakirology’ and ‘Time To Change’, it's time for Highbloo's fourth EP on Lektroluv! ‘Time To Change’ got supported by Steve Aoki, Boys Noize, Brodinski, Boris Dlugosch, Mixhell, Mason, Style Of Eye, Zoo Brazil, Don Rimini, Drop The lime, The Aston Shuffle, Mustard Pimp, BeatauCue, His Majesty Andre and many many more. The latest from Fabio T. is an organic affair, one that swallows up myriad influences and spews out a heady mixture that's difficult to pinpoint genre-wise and easy to get lost in the original, Insomnia is a slippery dub techno track, and while the sub frequencies that toss and turn underneath are a nice enough foundation, the bored progression and floaty chords are impersonal and detachedly dull.
A single electric cowbell ping with plenty of reverb gives the aural illusion that it's a dub track, though there's an understated drive in the hats that keeps the momentum on the right side of dopey.
The remix of Deejay Mo redeems its lackluster flipside, as suppressed kicks stumble in a skewed 1-2 step, attempting to break through the curtain of artificial fog. The clouds part a few centimetres enough to let some hi-hats hiss their way in, and the track simmers with the impeccable sound design expected.
