Also featuring Pete Tong, Sasha and Richie Hawtin.
Since its launch in 1993, the Essential Mix has brought us landmark sets from the worlds
biggest DJs including the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Deadmau5, Carl Cox, Pendulum and, of
course Pete Tong.
499 different artists have graced the Essential Mix decks so far, and so to celebrate the
500th DJ we will be taking the Essential Mix to Liverpool to broadcast live from the
legendary Circus on Friday 23rd April where the 500th DJ will play alongside Richie Hawtin,
Sasha, Yousef and Pete Tong.
The 500th DJ has been voted for by an expert music industry panel and the chosen DJ
will not be announced until the night of the 23rd April.
